Tumor biology and imaging
Getting the complete picture of cancer
In the same way that cancers differ from one person to another,
cancer cells within a single tumor can also behave differently
from each other. Using innovative imaging technologies to
better understand tumor biology and the micro environment
of individual cancers, we are developing therapies to
effectively treat all cells within a tumor.

Breaking the code of cancer
By understanding the role of genes and our epigenome in
driving the development of tumors, our clinicians will be better
equipped to predict tumor behaviour, and optimally select
individualized therapies that will be best suited to each patient’s
genetic makeup.

Digging deeper - understanding cancer
better & developing new drugs
Our researchers in this area are unravelling the biochemical,
molecular and cellular signaling pathways that determine how
tumors develop. Their discoveries help us understand why
patient outcomes can be so different, and will also lead us to
new drugs that target each patient’s cancer specifically.
