Here are just a few examples of the incredible achievements at The Princess Margaret: • Recognized internationally for our performance in basic, translational and clinical research • Enhanced education and training for clinical fellows, nursing and health professional students and residents • Member of the Ontario-wide Cancer Targeted Nucleic Acid Evaluation (OCTANE), following the IMPACT and COMPACT programs • Enhanced international partnerships in places such as China, Kuwait, Spain, India and Italy • Optimized the sharing of knowledge through symposiums, collaborations, etc. • Created New Patient Programs in: » » Adolescent & Young Adult Oncology Program (AYA) » » Older Adult Cancer Program What we have done: • Expanded and streamlined biobanks • Opened the Guided Therapeutics Operating Room (GTx OR) • Established the Cancer Genomics Program • Enhanced the Cancer Informatics Program • Accelerated the Epigenetics Program • Amplified the Cancer Clinical Research Unit (CCRU) • Expanded the research enterprise to the Princess Margaret Cancer Research Tower • Established The Global Institute of Psychosocial, Palliative and End-of-Life Care (GIPPEC) • Created the Tumor Immunotherapy Program (TIP) • Built the Magnetic Resonance-Guided Radiation Therapy (MRgRT) suite • Enhanced the Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPNs) program • Established the Techna Institute What we have built: Dr. Marcus Butler , Golden Day Ceremony at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, October 15th 2014 The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation | 33 BILLION DOLLAR CHALLENGE
