Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer is
delighted that SHOP.CA has signed on
as the presenting sponsor for 2015—
the 5th year for this dawn-to-dusk event.
Trevor Newell, the President and Founder of
SHOP.CA, is pleased to be partnering with
The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.

An amazing group of
8-year-old boys inspire
‘the troops’ at Road
Hockey to Conquer
Cancer
A t the fourth annual Road Hockey to
Conquer Cancer, the Aurora Novice
AA Tigers—a group of 8-year-old
boys—descended on Ontario Place with
much more than hockey on their minds.
This amazing group of cancer warriors
came together in an act of support and
solidarity for one of their teammates—Jack
Thomson and his older brother Spencer—
who sadly lost their dad Trevor to cancer
in August. The kids adopted the name
’Trevor’s Troops’ for the day in honour of
Trevor and then proceeded to surprise
Shawn Burt, Chief Hockey Officer at The
Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, with
a cheque for $1,800.
